Because the Minden Retreat has a wide range of facilities at the one location it is suitable and economic for a large range of functions.

Types of Functions

We do just about everything. Business Conventions, organizations' conferences, weddings, family reunions and parties celebrating just about everything or nothing in particular. We've done student retreats, quilt making gatherings, orchestra rehearsal retreats (we've no near neighbors so make lots of noise if you want), and even equestrian gatherings because we have stables, overnight and exercise yards and tack and fodder storage too. It's worth a look. The whole centre, with serviced rooms, the lot, costs just $2,000 for 44 hours, extra nights just $500 each.

• 30 x 1800mm x 760mm tables and 120 function chairs plus others
• Children's area with soft toys and play mattresses to keep them entertained.
• Commercial kitchen complete with ovens, gas burners, deep fryer, dishwasher, huge cold room, deep freezers and spacious pantries.
• Outdoor entertainment area with barbecue facilities, servery for drinks & "goodies", lawns and a sheltered seating area.
• Antique reception hall construction featuring hot-riveted trusses.
• Reception hall overviews our 3 1/2 acre dam and the rolling hills of the Marburg range all in a setting of tall gums.

Accommodation

The fully renovated "Bawden Lodge" has 9 serviced rooms accommodating 44 people. Yes, they're large rooms.

Also available are additional rooms which sleep another 46 people. These are let only to those who book the whole of our complex for functions. No charge is made for their use, but guests have to supply their own linen, sleeping bags, pillows etc.

Chapel

Our fully renovated 100 year old chapel seats 84+ people & closed circuit TV can be hired for larger weddings, christenings, family reunion church services etc. with extra guests seated in the chapel courtyard. DVD's of recordings are then available.

Parking

Our 27 acre property has plenty of all weather parking. Bitumen roads service all facilities.

Sports

We've a 13 x 7 meter salt water swimming pool, netball, volley ball and hand ball courts.

Photography

Your Photographer will recognise lots of visual opportunities at Minden Retreat. Cliff faces, tall gums, the old wagon, by-the-waterside shots, stone walls and aged farm sheds. All great for group photos at your function too.
